the iacv adjuts how much air bypasses the TB...doesnt ur ecu throw a cel 14...rough idle?...motor dies when its cold unless u give it sum throttle pressure? thats what it was doin to me when i had the problem...dont u have an extra sensor just dangling around as well as two vaccum lines that will shoot out rad. fluid without being connected to the iacv??also without it there will be 2 open holes straight into your intake mani... i would suggest getting one..if its from an obd0 model it will work
thats what i thought....the first time i took it out i dropped one of the vac lines and it spewwed water everywhere...what does he have them connected to??
im guessin he got one on there he just dont know it...ive been told that some cars have the iacv located on the TB...i dont know about his situation but it wouldnt hurt to look

the EACV/IACV on the a6 IM is located in the back of the manifold.... the FITV is located in the TB... two different function... but both has something to do with idle and the coolant lines...
