Default grinding welds down............pics please

i wanna do some charge piping on my car and i dont think my welds look pretty, but i have seen some crappy welders i know do this, then grind them down, and i swear they look good.

but i would like to see some before and after pics of some novice welders do ing this, cause i wanna try it but dont want to waste a bunch of time and money

You can get a crappy weld to LOOK good after being finished, but its still a CRAPPY WELD. practice on the same stuff as the pipe will be BEFORE welding up the final, make the weld nice, not only will it be more structural, but you will most likely spend half as long grinding it

^ agreed.

But a decent angle grinder can make short work of a bad weld. I grinded down one or two that were on my downpipe. No pics... atleast none worth uploading (stupid 56k)

thanks guys, i have seen a few guys do it with flux core(no gas) and they even came out pretty good.

i always use gas but i am just not a super welder, im okay and i dont want my stuff to look like ***. right now i have my old DRAG piping, but i dont like the flow path, or the BOV so i want to change it up
