Tire offset for 15x7 having problems HELPPPP
I have a 92 hatch with a b16 and on the driver side (side the engine is) on right turns i RUB. Now your probably saying roll your fender.... WEll i rubbed on the other side too but rolled both... and i still rub. And i rolled the **** out of the driver side fender...like it is flared pretty big. My question is....
i have a-tech finalspeed wheels. Its a 15x7 with +43 offset. My tires are 205/15/50 kuhmo 712s 39 psi in the front.
Now i dont rub on the passenger side on hard left turns but i do on the right. COuld i be rubbing on the inside? or should i take the roller back to the fender.
My drop is not that low at all and i am preloaded correctly on omni coilovers.
And if i am rubbing on the inside... does my year civic have a problem with just rubbing on that side?
Let me know!

What do you mean when you say preloaded correctly? do you mean you took into account your weight, that the car has been corner balanced, or what? Another question, does it rub on the passenger side when you have a passenger? the way I see it you have two options, keep flaring or raise it up. just a suggestion. peace.
just thought of something else--try putting masking tape wherever you think its rubbing-- all it would take it one scrub and you could see for sure where it's rubbing
I've run that offset before with my 5zigens running 205/50/15 maybe alittle too big that can cause rubbing in the inner fender wall, which in this case I had problems with. Consider raising the car up or next time choose a small width tire..
would spacers be an option? What would i need to bring the tire out a little bit on that side. If i cant flare the inside, I sure as hell dont mind flarin the outside

spacers are an option- you might have to get extended studs just to be extra safe, but I don't see why they wouldn't work.
i really want to saty away from spacers....any opinions on banging out the inner fender walls? Has anyone else with dohcs in egs had this problem? i mean im not lowered too too much and its only on serious cornering.

How much gap do you have?
Are you 4.75inch MEGA SHOW Slammed? (it is common in our area)
I have run two sets of falken azenis 205/50/15 on CE28n 15x7 43 offset and they did not rub. When i had skunk2 coilovers i had a comfortable 1.5 drop to 1.75 in the rear...no rubbs not even goin into my 6inch curb driveway.
Maybe raise it up or is that defeat the purpose of your look?
any pics?

ok im still waitin on pics, but 10 minutes with a grinder solved the problem....not something people would like to go through but it worked....
ok i lied. Just hit some off ramps and i still rub but its getting better...another 10 minutes with the grinder should do the trick.
well I was going to say, if you've dialed out your negative camber with the camber kit, that could be causing your rubbing.
you need negative camber to fit wide tires under low car.
jack up your car and look in there,
see exactly where you're rubbing, then you can think about what you need to do about it.
it's probably the plastic splash shield under there..
even with those gone and ur fenders rolled, if ur cars low, or u have wide/set out wheels/tires, ur gonna rub sometimes.
just live with it.
shouldn't be all the time though..
