Default When did your stock clutch go out? Guaging budget for the summer

Well, i just tripped 90k on the odo, and im starting to wonder when i should change my clutch. Obviously, sooner the better, but there are some other things i would much rather have, like kteller's header and a vafc. So, this poll is designed to give me a rough estimate of when i can expect my clutch to creep toward replacement. Thanks you guys.

Oh, if you guys could, please list your driving style and any mods as well, ill need to factor those into the results

Thanks

Right now Im at 125,xxx miles on the odometer and Im pretty sure its the stock clutch. Im the third owner of the car, but the previous owner told me that she never changed the clutch while she owned it.

74k miles, original clutch. I can't launch it from anything higher than 3000, but I don't need to anyway.

it all depends on hwo the car was driven, its not the same for every clutch..

I recently did a swap, but before I did my H23 was still on the original (and still working good) at 138k.

When I dropped the H22 in there were a few parts I upgraded... but the clutch was not one of them.... I think the stock unit worked so well I put a new OEM in with the new motor.

i changed mine at 70,000 but that's because one of the springs on the hub had popped out. there was enough material for at least another 50,000 miles.

I changed mine at 71000 km/ 42000 miles
It started to squeal during hill start etc.... and the main reason is I was young and wanting a brass button clutch.

When it was taken out, there was still heaps and heaps of meat left

I regret it, but live with it anyway up till today 1 year and 8 months later at 110,000 km I'm gonna change it back to Exedy OEM replacement.

if you beat on it a lot then think about getting a new one, but if you're easy on it and it still feels fine, then dont worry about it.

also DONT get a vafc b/c im guessing your car isent very modified so all that it would do would make your already rich prelude run richer while maybe getting a couple whp WITH good tuning

Dude, if you're a good driver you still have 50k miles to go... maybe even another 90k. Honda clutches hang on, as far as I've seen. I'd be surprised if you have to replace it this summer.

130k, still no slipping or anything. But I'm very easy on it - the majority of my driving has been highway miles.

i have 73,XXX on my 5th gen with a stock clutch. i can feel my clutch slipping a bit, sometimes i can't get into 1st completely..goes in halfway, then i have to put the car out of gear and take my foot of the clutch, put it back in then it will go into gear. also it makes a werid sound once in a while when i'm releasing the clutch from 1st. a mechanic (who i hope i can trust) told me my clutch will be fine until 80k or so...eh i dunno about previous drivers, i drive my normally, pushing it ocassionally, not any crazy launching...sO yeah

I just replaced my stock clutch at 152k, and the problem was not the friction material, I had a spring pop out of the disc, oh and the release bearing was going out also.
