Default B18C5 in my 93 DA

My LS turbo is about on it's way out... I am intirested in swapping in a B18C5. I've searched around a bit and that has answered quite a few of my questions but I have a few more...
I know I'll need a hydro tranny conversion kit
I'm more curious about the whole computer aspect and wiring. What kind of things am I going to need to do this swap right? I know you guys have done this swap before so let me here what problems you encountered.
Thanks

check out on http://g2ic.com couple people have done it. You don't have to swap to a hydro also theres no bracket for that out yet. Just run a search I'm sure all your info needed is there. -good luck

I'm just kinda throwin ideas around. My turbo LS only lasted me like 5 months and nobody around here has done the Type R swap... I guess I could get a B18B and boost that... Would you guys recommend a B18A like I have or a B18B for boost. I'm gonna have to get another motor cuz I don't want too much down time and rebuilding my B18A would take to much time and I'm an impatient bastard

b18a=b18b, but the B has different cams(from what I've been told)

Keep the money, dont buy the b18c5, stick with the turbo...just build the motor up a little more...

ahhh go all motor, so you could pop your hood and say look, look, that says B18C5... and everyone will go ooooooooaaaaaaaaaaa..... and you wont have the headaches that the turbo might bring you. Just straight high revving madness, hahahahaha....

once you get your type R motor, you'll miss how much faster you were with your LS turbo not to mention how much more potential it has. you'll want to turbo the type R which would be a waste of money IMO. but if money is not a subject matter, then why not? get the type R and turbo it.

i mean honestly why are u going to spend 4500-5K on a c5 when u can buy a whole new 18b for 650-850 and then swap ur turbo kit on it and still spank the HELL out of the c5. think about it........

i think you'll have less stress and more peace of mind if you go with the B18C5. if i had the choice, i'd do an LS/VTEC turbo! there's something to worry about, hahaha.

Less stress and greater reliability is what I'm after... I guess there's good sides to both motors. Ls is cheap but could blow up again... with a C5 I would just drop in stock and be done... but it's mad $$$

I know they're the same motor pretty much but what about swapping out a B18A for a B18B? Are the wiring and harnesses the same? I can still use my YS1 tranny. I dunno, has anyone done that swap before?
