Default v-tec vs. non v-tec

ok i have a 92 prelude si with the h23. mods are no ac, intake, header, full exhaust, UN underdrivce pulley, centerforce clutch, and msd ignition

i have raced a bunch of all motor v-tec preludes and have yet to get beat. Is this because theses kids cant drive or is v-tec just overrated. Some of the cars even had more done to their cars than i did. almost everyone i went form a stop and a roll and won both times. i have raced 4th gen v-tec's and 5th gens and havent gotten beat yet. what is up with thiis?

H23 is a pretty strong motor. If it has been well taken car of and you know how to drive.. then yeah, i can see it happening. H22's are Very strong motors as well, but racing from a dig the H23 should bet them . From a roll I thought it would be close considering your mods.

NonVtec Power man! I have beaten a couple 99-00 SI's around here in my Stock(cut-off muffler) 91' DA. I have run 15.4 with just cut-off muffler. I like the sound of VTEC.... but they USUALLy lack in TQ as to where most nonVtec setups don't.

really i find it hard to believe that those people that you race had a clue on how to drive but anyway good job on spankn the luds. i have a 90 dx/sir with some stuff done to it and i've raced stock s2000 and and a 03 civic si and spank them. so really it doesn't always matter on what the car has done to it,because a good driver is almost as good as performance parts.

yeah i ran a 15.4 when the car was completely stock with street tires and they are rated at 15.8. i put all my stuff on and ran slower because my tires were nearly gone and i coulndt figure out how to launch because the track is way diff than the street. i have beaten a couple of cars that ran in the high 14's so thats where i'd like to be when i go back this sat. i got new tires on the front kumho 711's which do hook better but we'll see what happens

H22 prelude are really slow. I had a 97 coupe with a LS and a intake and pulled the h22 from a roll? And the b18 was from a auto, go figure.........Soichiro Garage 7
