The cover is off the fly wheel could it be that the welds on the oil pan are to thick and thats why its getting cought up? If i grind them down might it work?

I purchased a B-series LSD... Long story short, the passenger side axle gets stuck when you put it in. to get it back out you must break the axle, and possible ruin the tranny housing. Sent it back to OBX and they said it was fine... they would not warranty/fix/ or refund it.

92 the oil pan isn't in the car. I would be grinding the weld on the oil pan down then cleaning it and putting it back into see if it would fit.
Ohhh....I misunderstood, sorry about that.
Anyway, this replacement pan that you have....
I have a '92 SI also, and the part # for it is 93755. Now I almost got in trouble because I went to just get an oil pan for a 92-96, so I looked up a '94. Problem is, the '94 oil pan has a part number of 109843. I don't know how similar/different they are but I know usually different part numbers mean, of course, different designs. Btw - these are the OEM oil pan #'s.
I don't really know how to be sure with an aftermarket, maybe you can compare it to your old one (shape, measurements, etc). Hopefully for your sake, it was just a crappy weld job that can be ground out of the pan.
