Default HF trans/DX engine compatability

My 88HF's engine has taken its last breath, I have access to an 88 CRX DX parts car with a bad trans, is it a bolt together deal or should I search for an HF engine?
thanks

Default Re: HF trans/DX engine compatability (uc4me)

The Hf transmission will bolt on to the DX engine. And visa versa. Since you are using the same transmission, you don't have to worry about axles or knuckles.

As far as engines go, the DX engine is DPFI and the Hf engine is MPFI. So you will need to transfer your Hf distributor, intake manifold, fuel rail, injectors, resistor box, etc over to the DX engine.
