Default ~my 98 civic~

i just did a swap for my car with another EX motor (kinda dumb) but i didnt have money at the time but anyway I just did the swap like 1 week ago and just the other night when i started my car the engine shook like it did with my old motor..ERRR and it felt the same as my old motor. the engine light was blinking when it did that and now the engine light stays on..i want to know if anyone here can tell me whats going on, i dont want to spend another 150 bucks to get it checked at the dealer again.

my old motor, i blew the pistons..ARRR but hey i almost killed a gsr with my sohc...

dual intake (its HELLA NICE!!)
headers
9.5 plug wires
iridium plugs
and the RARE R revoulution enxhaust!
nice to know i almost whipped that GSR with my sohc motor..hahahah...but no more racing for me dont want to blow my new motor, well almost new!!

Are you sure you installed the new engine correctly?

ok i swapped it with another EX motor. it was done by a guy who used to own a shop. so he does private fixer uppers now. ANYWAY back on the subject

the motor shakes like a motor mount is loose you know front and back motions. but the mounts are perfectly fine. then when it did that my engine light was blinking. i turned off my car waited 10 minutes and turned it back on and it started smoothly like a normal car, BUT the engine light is on. Here's what i wanna know, why did my motor shake like that? you know it shook to the point where my whole car was shaking....can it be my pistons are blown again?? (i havent abused it yet).

another problem now, when im running at any speeds and come to a stop at a stop light, my engine idles almost to zero as if its gonna die then 5 secs later it idles at normal...help!! i have a brand SPANKIN new alternator

and damn another thing, my car smells like FREAKIN gas man, i know its not leaking, the smell comes from my exhaust and my cat converter. (it smells like a OLD *** car that needs a CRAZY tune up) i recently replaced my stock with a straight through pipe with o2 bung. Is that normal to smell like that?

my friend told me that i was pushing too much air into my motor with my dual intake but i HIGHLY doubt it. because my headers should balance it out....
