Does anyone know what the torque setting is on the lug nuts on my 2000 EX Sedan?

around 80-82 lb-ft.

 

Use an impact gun. When it's tightened all the way give it 3 or 4 more "thunk thunk thunks" and you're set.

 

More or less 80 to 90 lb with a torque wrench, with 2 clicks.

 

is that with all honda's?

 

I can't say if that's for all Hondas', afterall, we only have Civic and CRV. But with less than 90lb of torque, it won't be too hard to take off the lug nuts. Or else, you will have a hard time changing the spare tires if the situation calls for it.

do not do this. use a torquewrench. if i tightened my lugs this way, i would torque them to 150 ft/lbs..... definately not good.

Hehehe, been working fine for me for many many years now. Never had a problem. And I can still take 'em off with my Honda lug wrench.

 

All honda lug nuts should be torqued to 80 ft lbs., except one, which I believe is the crv and it is like 84 ft. lbs.

You must have a weak impact gun , When I use my impact gun I allways turn it down half way which is around the 80 or so you need or get a torque stick Yellow if I remember right is the one you want.

 

Yea dont go over the recommended specs. My dad torqed my lugs on my 240 to 500 with the impact. I broke 2 impacts and still didnt get the lug off. Then i used a forged star, and i snapped the stud right out of the disc. So not good.
