Default Where to get headwork done on d16a6?

I've heard tons of negative things about JGenginedynamics, and also have heard a lot recently about exospeed not getting back to its customers. I want to get a d16a6 head fully built up, but exospeed is $2,000, jgenginedynamics was only $1075? Where else can i get this done? Where have you guys done? Who's good, and who's bad?

You could always find a local machinist and shop to do the work for you. Simply decide what you want, go in and talk to some of the local machinist [ you could call but they take you more seriously if you come in and let them know you mean business ]. They can even recommend other guys who could help you, you will most likely save a few bucks this way also. - Darrell

yeah.. i would do the same. Find a good machine shop, give them the parts you want them to put in... whatever else.. P&P etc then you wont have to worry about shipping costs... time between shipping.... it always seems to take long when you ship a block or head out a few states away. Go to the machin shop.. explain the situation, and have them do it. Most machine shops know whats up anyway, so you shouldn't have to worry about them not knowing what they are doing.

I think exospeed just gets really backed up .. and thats why they dont get back. but that always worries me.
