Re-valving Bilstein's
Warren, care to add some input on this one?
I need to be able to at least turn up the damping/rebound rate in the back, and maybe get some tender springs/pillow ball mounts, shorten the piston, etc.

I talked with Bilstien about a year and a half ago, they said they wanted about $50us to revalve a HD to handle a 850lbs ERS spring. All they needed to know was what rate I was going to run on the shock(850) ,how much my car weighed and thats it. They said that the price was the same regardless of spring rate.
And no I haven't sent in the shocks yet so I can't tell you much more then that.
I contacted(email) Shoctec about the same time (long time ago) inquiring abut revalving bilsteins and never heard back from them.
BUT I did send my front teins to TEIN USA last fri to be rebuilt. (Yes I just have 2 front teins),since they were pissing out oil.

RR98ITR is the guy to ask on this.
You can't just shorten the piston. All that does is move where the piston stroke occurs. You have to shorten the shock body. You can get this done, but it's a lot cheaper to run an inch higher. Up to you.
Pillow ball mounts? I vote skip. Tender/helper springs? Skip.
The valving is the most important part. Nothing terribly special in the back. Just need a good amount of rebound. The fronts are the tough part.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I'd be happy with more rebound in the back, as warren suggested.
I miss the tokico illumina's on my CRX, they were so simple!!
