Spacers and studs for a 5th gen...
I find myself in possession of a set of 96 Spec JDM ITR rims and I just need to hear from those of you who've used them. What size of spacers did you need to use in order to clear the calipers and did you need to get longer studs. I know for 4th gens it wasn't needed, but with the hub over rotor change in the 5th gens this might be different. Any help would be appreciated.
FIrst thing first, you do need to add clearance on 4th, 5th and 6th gen.
I had them before, they will not clear the FRONT caliper, the margin is off but 1-1.5 mm or less.
you can gain the clearance by..
adding spacer or filing away your caliper surface.
a 3mm spacer would be perfect, since they don't see anthing smaller.
they cost around 5-15 per piece.
extended stud is not really neccassry, if you swear by it then by all means, go it done, and get it done right.
