Default DC Area - College Park, MD

I am staying in College Park all week on a business trip and I'm bored, so I was wondering if there are any local drag strips open that I could go watch some test and tune nights?

Any NDRA or NHRA racers have shops close by?

Or some local street tracks

Someone pick me up...I'm bored.

im about 40 min. from college park. check out http://www.mirdrag.com usually some friday night stuff going on. mostly local kids bracket racing. i go sometimes. it cost me some money last time i went since the track wasnt prepped and ended up breaking the tires loose violently in high gear and breaking some stuff.

Yeah it seems like you guys do things the normal way here and have stuff Fri and Sat nights. Back home our track nights are Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sun.

I figured there would be something during the week. I have to catch a plane Friday. Thanks for the info guys.

yea there isnt much to do around here during the week at all. usually im working on other peoples cars..then come friday night i realize i need to work on mine and have to do everything about 540x faster than i'd like and hope everything goes ok for the weekend haha.

not sure how old you are....but thursday nights in baltimore is like a hot girl convention. college night or some crap like that. thats really the only thing i could possibly suggest haha. hot girls and beer....usually a good combo when you dont have cars to keep you entertained

i prefer to call the....."BOLT ONS." and on Asian girls they are JDM SPEC "BOLT ONS" LOL but anyways not to get side tracked from the thread. everyone mentioned where the hot spots are. Glenn Burnie normally has a decent street race scence.

There are a lot of Hondas here...that's a pleasant suprise. Back home everyone bought Evos and STis and crap like that. I miss seeing Hondas running around everywhere like the old days.
