memory fab vs. sparco torino
does anyone have either of these seats in their honda or acura...im planning on buying a seat, originally i wanted the memory fab, but i saw the sparco torinos and like them alot now too...i searched but didnt find any pics of sparco torinos in dc2's...can you guys help me out or tell me which you would prefer and why...thanks
The memory fabs look extremely hot, carbon back and all, plus they are one piece. I personally like the memory fabs more but mostly based on looks, what colors were you looking at? Both are good products so you relly cant go wrong, just make sure you can fit into the seat before purchasing them, try them out first, you will be happy you did.

that's becuase your dumb
I'd like to know which sparco to which recaro becuase there 2 different companies - one who makes sport seats and makes a few race seats the other who makes race seats and makes a few sport seats.
The memory fab seats are a copy of the spoon and mugen style racing buckets while there tolerable I don't think I would buy them unless you actually race your car. If your not a big guy the knockoff brides are nice and there comfortable and grippy and affordable like my passenger seat

well what are you looking for??
memory fab seats are 1-pc, non reclinable, carbon fiber.
sparco torinos are reclinable and heavier than the MF seats.
depends on whether the car is daily driven or race only etc etc etc.
i'd have to try out a seat before i could buy it.

that makes no sense - the fastest hondas in the world that are still what I consider still honda the speed tc and gt class are filled with sparcos in hondas
the real time cars all have them indluidn the rsx which even run the same touring car seat I have. So did the first hondas to run 10's 9's and 8's and 7's in the 1/4
Not to mention nearly the entire WRC field

Whoa Stormy, I didnt mean anything personal by that.
Alot of my friends rock Sparco seats, and most of them rock Sparco steering-wheels.
Dont get me wrong I love Sparco, it is a great company.
I just figure Hondas come with momos and recaros from the factory, and going with Sparco is kinda like sleeping with the enemy.

never sat in a torino, but they dont look too supportive. here`s some detailed pics of my memory fab seats

my impressions on these are: they are supportive, but the Spoon/B20Z knock off`s are a tad bit more snug. the MF`s flex a little, but not too bad. if using the MF rails and slider, they sit REALLY LOW. i have mine on the highest setting and it`s still low. i got used to it tho and i actually preffer it now.
for the money, i like my MF`s.
it all really boils down to what you`re looking for in a seat.

recaro or sparco dont make a ***'n diff. if u got the cash and u see what u like get it simple. sparco makes awsome seats and so do recaros if sparco wasnt a good compnay they wouldnt be used by plenty of "actuall" racing companies and teams including wrc etc. or have lasted this long in the motorsport industry so stop hating!!!!! pick a seat u like, if someone has one go sit in it and see how it feels on ur back if u dont like it get another company simple.
if ur buying a seat becuse of a name that is stiched on the head rest then ur an idiot!!!!

I don't know what Torinos you sat in, but I have a set of Torinos here next to me, and they're way comfier than the seats in my daily driven gsr.
To the OP, just take a look at the MF seats, they have practically no cushioning to speak of. The only "cushioning" is the material covering the hard shell of the seat. Beneath that is just rigid, back-straining CF or fiberglass.
The torinos on the other hand, do have adequate cushioning. What's most important for me is lower lumbar support, which they have an ample amount of. Another good thing about the Torinos is that the areas you'd make contact with when getting in and out of the car are protected by a rubber-ish coating. Have you ever seen used Recaros? Notice how all the edges of the bolsters are all wrinkled and worn? Doesn't happen with the Sparcos, and I have the seats right here to prove it, for all the non-jdm haters.
People need to get over this jdm bullcrap. Recaro is not > *, apparently ignorance and being another bandwagon hoppper > all.

they also come with sucky tires too but you replace those too I'll bet. Sparco is a racing based company, even there sport seats tend to be less comfy and more racy. recaro is the opposite.

Of course you don't care your a stunna rice boy.
If your not buying a race seat from a company that has them in actual race cars then there is no denying it - I bet you also recommend omni race *snicker snicker* coilovers.
