Lately, i've noticed, i'll drive for about 10 minutes, nothing to fast, nothing to hard. And i'll see my temp guage reading a little bit below 1/2.
Is this normal? The weather around here has just been wet and rainy, and about 55 degrees.
Also, tonight when i got home, i had drove for about 40 minutes. I leave my car running and pop my hood to see if my fan is spinning, my temp guage is still a little under 1/2 way, and its not spinning.
I then turned on my AC, and the fan would spin for a few seconds, turn off, and turn back on again for a few seconds and repeat until i turned off the AC.
I went ahead and checked my fuses for the fan, they looked alright?
Does anyone have any suggestions?
I dont want my car to over heat and do any damage.
Thanks in advance

im not certain but that just means its keeping itself cool enough to not need the fan yet correct? my car always runs that temp just before the temp. icon on the guage and my fan rarely kicks on so i would think that its fine... but im not a mechanic or anything so maybe my car is messed up too
but if you wire it to run at all times will your car always run really cold??? i had a car that had that. it was wired so the fans were on at all times and the car NEVER warmed up. it was always a tad bit above cold on the gauge....
Well my fan doesn't turn on at all and it doesn't over heat. Tho I am scared it mite. I hooked up my fan to a switch. And your car will warm up even if your fan runs all the time. The fan it to cool down your radiator. Sucks out the heat.
...I wonder who's going to flame on me??

That's pretty normal. Just let it idle for 5 minutes or so and keep an eye on the gauge. I bet the fan kicks on for 15 seconds or so after a few minutes of idling. The fan only kicks on when the coolant gets to a certain temp. So if you're driving in 55 degree weather you're getting 55 degree air pushed through the radiator. The fan isn't needed to keep the coolant cool enough.

Got the answer if not already answered. Had the same problem in my 95 LS Teg. The fans will always kick on with the AC on. The temp is normal. At least mine is always a little below half. On this forum I found the solution to my problem. On you thermostat housing there's a sensor. Unclip the sensor and use a paper clip and connect the terminals on the harness. The fans should kick on. If they do then it's your sensor on your thermostat housing. Mine worked when I did this. Got a new one at honda for $50 but search Ebay for (temp sensor) cause I found it for $18 after I bought mine from Honda dealer.
