help needed
how much work/what is needed to do the swap from d16a6 dpfi to mpfi i found about the wireing and i know i would need new intake manifold and fuel rail/injectors and head so which head can i use on that car...and can i make it into dohc???
Well for starters you don't have a D16a6 if it is DPFI, you have a d15b2. There are no DPFI D16a6's. How much work is it? well it's a bit of wiring, I've done the conversion myself and it's about a days work for someone with some tool skills. You will also need an A6 distributor, your current distributor will not work, you're also going to need an Injector Resistor box from an OBD0 MPFI car as well. What head can you use on the car? You can use your current B2 head, an A6 head which is identical except for the cam or you can put on a SOHC VTEC head from a 92-95 civic Si (D16Z6) or from a 96-00 EX (Si for Canada) (D16Y8).
Finally, no you can not make it DOHC.
PS. If you plan on doing a head swap to one of the SOHC VTEC heads at the same time, some small additional work will be needed.

i can take a picture of it if u want...the engine code is d16a6 but it def is converted to dpfi...so its just some wireing and thats about it tho...cause the motor is outa a crx si but its in a civic dx so i guess the kid i got it from didnt know how to switch the wireing so i guess thats why its like that

I think what he is saying, is that someone swapped the b2 out of his car and put the a6 in with the b2's intake. So he has a dpfi a6. If you want to make it mpfi go look at the fourthgen write up at http://www.4gcivic.net

yea but i dont have an a6 head...when the kid did the swap he didnt want to change the wireing of the car...its a 91 civic hb with an 89 crx si block and the hb head distributor and intake manifold....

I don't think i can determine what your setup is by what you've said, nothing makes sense LOL
Standard DPFI to MPFI conversion is $160. You send your harness, we convert it. Wiring is Done..

Not with the MPFI swap, it won't. MPFI and DPFI use different distributors.
For as complete a list as I could find on what all you need, look on http://www.effinmotorworks.com. Go to their technical section and look up the DPFI/MPFI swap page. It should included every single thing you'll need.
