VTEC BUTTON!!!!!!

has anyone ever heard of a vtec button for the mini me swaps..its a ghetto vtec controller....i wanted to know if running it will be fine or if i should run it..some people say that the wires burn out realie fast..some say that its good n its hella fun to have...what do ya think...

I have wired buttons up to vtec solenoid before ( due to a customer having a problem with his ecu ) . Its not really a good idea, I mean sure vtec will engage but the fuel curve will not change at all and you will not be getting the most out of it.

Ghetto. Just wire it up to the ecu like it should be. Then if you want to change the enagement point get a controller.

Are you convinced its a bad idea yet?
If you were hoping for a nos like activation of the vtec change over the B-series is famous for...it ain't happening. The sohc vtec changeover is nearly imperceptible.
Best to wire it up properly.

dont know where i got this **** from but i think it would be funny. go buy like a pos rusted to **** shell of any car with a big engine bay, then put like a skyline engine into that or w/e engine you want. then go race someone. and they take 1 look at the outside and be like, omg im going to own this pos, cause it wouldnt be worth there time to pop the hood. then when u race em, stick with em for the beggining, then wave and punch it.

man we aren't talking some led inside the car or shift light wired to turn on with vtec. we're thinking much bigger!!! underbodys light up so it look like you are floating on color while you make madd noise from the sick third gear vTaK!!!

Plus, if you have a vtec feedback light you know if you didn't **** up with the chip you burned, or if you're throwing one of the mystery codes.
