Default 91 Teg's First time at the track(results and Video Inside)

Ok, I took my 91 RS to Atco Raceway here in Nj for the 1st time since I got it. When I got it, it was all stock. The car has 156,000 Miles on it and the only things I have done to it are cut-off muffler and removed Intake resonator. I was expecting to hit low 16's with her... little did I know this would be the best time of the night:

R/T: .403
60': 2.232
330: 6.372
1/8: 9.850
MPH: 70.65
990: 12.781
1/4: 15.434
MPH: 87.37

I also ran another 15.480@88.0 with a 2.265 60'. But... my buddy missed both 15.4's on tape. He did however get a 15.5 run on tape which was the last run of the night for me. The clutch is old and hot and was slipping like crazy on this run. You can hear it in the Video everytime I shift it slipped. If it didn't slip so bad, it would have been another 15.4 run,

I see no one replied. I just want to know if this time is about right or not. Other Ppl on other Mssg boards said that a 15.4 with a 2.2 60' on street tires and full weight is crazy fast for a DA RS with only cut-off muffler. Is this true? Do I have a Freak?

15.4 is a good time. When my 2nd gen was basically stock, thats exactly what i ran. All i had was a cold air intake. So yeah, it does sound like a freak. People with newer gsr's were barely running that. Congrats and for a DA

Thanks alot man. Man... You ran 15.4 with only an intake as well? Niice. What was your 60' time and was it at full weight then? It seemed to be slower With the factory muffler on and Short ram. I took the short ram off, went back to stock airbox(with resonator removed) and cut off the muffler.

Looks like you have a nice boosted DA there!

Wow, you guys are lucky. Best time when i still had the LS was a 15.9 thats with i/h/e and being partially gutted. After i hit that 15.9 i started it up for the next run and knock knock knock. Started knocking so loudly, after that i ran slower and slower times.

for a nice time for an LS and sporting a DA

Haha.. yeah, cut-off muffler. It really doesn't sound that bad to be honest with you. It is REALLy deep when normal driving and when you get on it it does have some of that nasty sound... but it is getting the stocker welded back on actually on Friday. I KINDA wanna go to the track again with the muffler back on see if taking it off actually made that big of a difference.
