Default FYI: Tire Speed Rating

I got this from HCI May 2005 Issue thought I post it here:
The rating indicates the maximum speed the tire can be operated safely (at the recommended air pressure) under specified conditions.

Q = 99MPH, 160KM/H
S = 112MPH, 180KM/H
T = 118MPH, 190KM/H
U = 124MPH, 200KM/H
H = 130MPH, 210KM/H
V = 149MPH, 240KM/H
Z = 149MPH, 240KM/H*
W = 168MPH, 270KM/H
Y = 186MPH, 300KM/H

* AND OVER

The speed rating is just one of a number of sidewall markings. You can read more about them here.
