Default Packing rims for shipping

What is the best, most cost effective way to ship rims? I like to pride myself on the fact that the condition I send it out in is the condition the buyer receives them, even if the shipping company happens to drop them or something.

Should I just use tons of bubble wrap per rim? 2 per rim separated by cardboard and bubble wrap? Maybe some boxes big enough to fit 1-2 rims and bubble wrap?

How do you guys ship rims w/tires?

My experience with shipping wheels is two rims per box is usually the cheapest method. I'd wrap the face of the wheels to prevent any damage and seperate them with a piece of cardboard. Thats how most manufacturers ship wheels also.

I went to America's Tires and got rim boxes per wheel. Then I went to FedEx/Kinko to package my rims. Cost $50 to box all 4 rims in 2 seperate boxes. FedEx/Kinko's is liable if anything gets damaged.

I am going to have a set sent to me and after a little searching I hear FedEx ground is the cheapest. You can get cheap boxes and packing material at Home Depot and just make sure to cover the faces of the wheels really well.

get a large box, buy some bubble wrap... wrap around the box and bottom of the box. put the rim put bubble at top and than put a cardboard. put the next rim and bubble it up and pack it...

yea go FEDEx ground .. prob just $40 - $60 or more ... depending if you going to ship with or without tires.
