will civic coilovers be good for integra....are they the same?
my buddy has some ground control coilovers on his hatch and will sell to me for cheap...i know they fit integras but are they the same? will the wieght of the integra come into play? do these parts have the same part number?..thanks
I bought a set of Koni Yellows from my friends EG Civic sedan, and put them into my Dc2 GSR... feels just as good as they did in his car.
my friend is running civic coilovers on his teg and they worked fine, but after a while they started going out. so im not sure if the weight might come into play. i would play it safe and get something that is meant for your car. but if they are cheap enough that if they did go out you could just get new ones, go for it.
Even if it does, you can always send the sleeve to ground control and they will install any custom rate that you may desire!! IMO, if they are cheap, buy them.
If it fits it fits. Just consider spring rate. For the Integra they default 380 front and 250 rear. You could use a weaker rate, it's no problem, just set yourself at a height so you don't bottom out.
Good luck if you need to contact Ground Control for anything. They suck at customer service. At least for me they do.
If you need the info to convert the numbers on the spring to get the rate let me know. I will get it out of my e-mail from Don Feen with Ground Control.

Why would you send the sleeve? There's no rate to the sleeve. If you want a different rate, you order the spring.
If they are cheap sure grab 'em. You could always re-sell if you decide not to install. I have no problem with the part itself, just the customer service.
The springs are guaranteed to be within 2% of their original rate, lifetime replacement.

90-93 integras are interchangeable with 88-91 Civics (Civic shocks are shorter, but bolt up perfectly)
94-01 Integras (except rear ITR) are interchangeable with 92-95 Civics (same height shocks, spring rates are only slightly different). Both of these can also be used on 2nd gen integras by swapping out the front drop forks.
96-00 Civic front shocks can be used on 90-93 with front drop forks, or on the 94-01 Integra/92-95 civic with no modification. Rears will need some modification.

I'm sorry to say, but you suck at searching my friend.
Someone posted up the integra rate. And i said explicitly that the civics are 30 less in the front. Do the math!

yea but i saw on this one post on civic springs that they have spring rate for stock daily drivin, rate for civic with swap, rate for civic drag....i dont know what the hell they mean and how this relates...i do suck at this **** though....i saw the 30lbs difference thing...o well imma get them anyways and see what happens
GC does have all those different kits, but for the most part people just stick with customizing their own rates. If people aren't buying customized rates, they'll buy the Off The Shelf (OTS) rates.

I just didn't want anyone to be confused by that. I thought you meant what you said. I wasn't trying to be a jerk. There's nothing to change on the sleeve that would require you to send them back to GC.
