Default BOV advice...

im planning on using the 1G DSM BOV stock piece on my custom
setup, IHI turbo boosting 6-7 stock B16A
but have had little luck finding it from a reliable source,
being my last purchase, im already over budget,

so id like to hear some feedback

1. hold out because all the BOV does is FART air
(good enough for DSM good enough for u)
2. dont go with the 1G BOV because............
3. invest in a aftermarket BOV because......
4. you can buy my BOV its this make model and price.......
5. you ll give me your BOV and flange for free...its this make model

im frustrated here, and need a little feedback. TIA

I got an HKS Racing Type II BOV. I think I wanna sell or trade it. From what I hear and see, it is made for high boost applications, which I am not in...yet. Someone who needs or wants it..gimme a price, or trade for something. hehe I checked some websites out and it is worth $400-$500. Let me know.

Its been used for 1 day so far.

I have a 1G DSM BOV, not the plastic 2G one. The reason why they don't make sound on the DSM's is cause they are rerouted back into the air filter box. So if you remove that hose you'll get the much sought after whoooopoo poos cheap and is good for about 15psi (so they say). I'm sure you can pick one up for next to nothing.

From what I've read from guy's running these on thier custom turbo installs they do the trick. Just make sure you get the flange with it.

So its either $25.00 for the DSM or $100.00+ for an after market job.

I think its a good way to start. As you get to understand the turbo and how to tune it, you can eventully upgrade your system to be where you want it.
