Discharging the A/C on a GSR..
Depends on how environmentally you want to do it. If you want to be a friend of the sierra club, go to a shop and have them purge the system. Or if you do not want to be a friend of the EPA loosen the 10 mm bolt that sits on top of the condenser. Do this just enough were you start relieving pressure. Wait 10-20 minutes and it will be purged.
Removing the AC is pretty simple. Drop the lower motor mount so that you can remove the AC belt. Loosen all of the bolts that connect all of the AC lines and remove. If you plan on reusing these or if you plan on selling the system, be careful that you so not bend the lines while removing them. They are made of aluminum and will bend/crimp very easily. To remove the condenser, carefully detach the radiator from the car and it should give you enough room without having to remove the front bumper.
