I'm in WA. Tint laws are 35% film and 24% light transference once film is on window. So let's say 24%. That's for passenger cars and every window. 6" legal limit for aftermarket film on windshield.

Question: for those of you with equal or harsher laws.. How do you go about passing inspection? Do you buy a separate set of front windows, know somebody, or organize a hefty bribe? (yikes, is that against the law ) I moved from UT to WA and in UT I had my 10% all around pass with a bribe. Can you tell yet that I'm trying to get out of having to bribe someone? Suggestions other than the obvious, like taking the film off!!

Before you flame me about tint I just want to say.. I hate sun on the side of my head and I hate people looking at me!

Now, that you mentioned it, I didn't have trouble at all passing my safety inspection. Legal limit here in VA is 50% and I got 35% on my car. It's funny cuz I even took off my clear corners and put the stock ambers back on and I totally forgot about my illegal tint. I watched them do the inspection and they didn't even blink an eye about my tint.
