I need to make an adapter similar to an OBD2b to OBD1 harness. I only need the OBD2b plug just like in the ecu. I have a 2000 civic cx that I want to put megasquirt in and I want to make my own adapter. I could use a OBD1 conversion adapter and cut off the OBD1 end or I could use a cheap OBD2b ecu that's fried or just not wanted. I assume I could unsolder it from the ecu board and pig tail wires to it. Has anyone done that? Or if anyone knows of a supplier of the OBD2 plug only.
