i was wondering what gains if any are there with the over sized or stock and whats then difference in price to get them installed

What kind of gains are you looking for? You do gain in displacement. OS Honda pistons are usually .025 over which is a little over 1/2 a mm. That means you gain about 26cc of displacement with OS Type S pistons (if I remember correctly). Stock displacement on an H22 is 2157cc. So, it's basically up to you if you think it is worth it. Not usually a price difference in pistons or for honing/boring a block.

 

are type S pistons even reliable? I know people talk about them but would you be better off going with a name brand? And you do not need to re-sleeve with the type S pistons correct?

 

its a damn honda piston of course its reliable, its from the Type S h22

 

lol cool man just asking, i dont know the exact specs of the type S. Do they sell the type S pistons new or are most of them off used type S ludes?
