Clutch/Flywheel Question...
Hello everyone, my clutch is slipping and I'm in need for a new clutch system. Just wondering on everyone's thoughts on:
Clutch: ACT or Exedy?
Flywheel: ACT Streetlite (8.8 lbs) or Exedy Lightweight (9.5 lbs) or OEM ITR (not sure on the weight but I know it's slightly lighter than 12 lbs)?
All opinions are appreciated. I have a JDM B18C(1). Thanks in advance.

I have a 7.5 flywheel and it's fine for normal driving. You get use to it quick, I don't even really notice any difference anymore.
Also, i have a exedy clutch, and Fidanza flywheel. No problems with either so far.

I'm sure you're referring for the 7 lb flywheels being off-road, no? I mean, why would ACT advertise "streetlite" for street/drag on 8 lbs...but thanks for the input. So, so far one vote for exedy clutch?
i say the lighter the better... ull get more acceleration. once i get everything together with my car im going with the lightest flywheel for the best price i can find
Basic Exedy clutches are ****.
Go with the lightest flywheel you can buy. I run the Comptech 6.75lbs Aluminum and it's golden
(Action Kevlar clutch)

Go with the clutchmasters flywheel. No resurfacing everytime you buy a new clutch plus it's light. Just installed my exedy stage 3 yesterday and it's the best. A little rough but I am a pro and I will get used to it

Hmm, thanks for all the comments.
I was talking to a friend of mine and he suggested my problem could be the tranny (second gear). The problem: First gear seems perfect ok, but when I switch to second (press the clutch pedal and ease the shifter), it starts making a grinding noise, as if the shifter hasn't been properly positioned. Mind you, the clutch is still pressed, and after a short grinding of the clutch, it gets into gear. I haven't really drove it, but when I have I just bypass second and go straight into 3rd.
Could this really be a clutch problem? or a tranny one? It doesn't really matter which, but it would safe me the money to install my clutch (myself) if I don't need to...and if a tranny needs to be replaced, LS tranny should bolt-up nicely to a B18C(1), correct?
And read, basic exedy clutch are ****? **** = bad (like, it's ******* ****) or **** = good (like, it's THE ******* ****)?
Thanks
