Well I've always thought about getting an H22 for my 01 Accord, however now I'm just considering putting some money into the engine, as far as internals are concerned. Do the F23A1 and F23A4 have the same internals, I've gone over this so many times and I'm just wondering if I'll run into any problems? Common sense would tell me no but I just want to make sure. I'm not exactly sure what I would want to do, I'd just want to make it more boost friendly if I decide to turbo in the future, any advice/suggestions are welcome

 

don't know how much you plan on spending on it, but if you're gonna upgrade internals, might as well grab a spare F23A1. they're only a few hundred bucks for the whole engine assembly if you have some patience. i was going to do an F23A1/4 build, but i've decided to go H22. either way, the good thing about A4 to A1 swap is that most everything is the same, internals for one, and all the accessories. You probably just wouldn't want the EGR or PCU from the A4, that's what makes it run lean. Good luck to your build though, more power to the 'cords.

 

well the only legit shop around here, who's renowned and knows their stuff is about 60 miles northeast of me. Their called Full-Throttle and I might get a swap done with them...we'll see in the furture.
