want to learn to ride better .....
anyone have any advice on starting to get better through turns, or know where i can find info on it online ... things like braking, acceleration, POSITION/POSTURE, lean, etc.
I've been playing with it alot, and i'm definatly getting more comfortable, but i'd like to learn correctly. I know i put some air in my rear tire and it made a huuuuge difference lol, but i want to become a better rider, and be able to eventually push it harder .. but i need to start working on it now that i've learned the characteristics of my new bike (600RR).
Thanks .. wow. .. that paragraph sounded horrible .. but i'm tired and rode for a good 10 hours today, and my *** is completely sore.
On a good note .. me and some friends were messing around in the middle of nowhere, and i raced an 04 or 05 gixxer600, on my 03 CBR 600RR .... first race, i had a horrible launch cause i've never launched my bike really hard, like in a race ... so he got off in front, and thru each gear i'd slowly start gaining on him just a little but i hit redline in like 3 gears (i was concetrating on him more then me) .. and he took me. The next race, i had a good launch, and annihalated him. I was surprised, as he has much more experience then me.
Yes i raced, but i was in the middle of god knows where on a 4 mile stretch of road.
GOODNITE!

read books, goto riding schools... or
get a subscription to motogp.com and download all the videos.... if you want to study riding technique you can't get any better than riding ONBOARD with all the best racers. they have so many videos from so many angles you can pretty much get anything you want.

My suggestion is to meet up with local riders that can show you the ropes locally. It took me a while to find good groups to ride with because some people aren't responsible and lack control of their testosterone levels. But anyway, try to find local people to ride with.
Or just trailer your bike to Mountain Home, Arkansas and ride south to Clinton, west to Ozark, and north to Eureka Springs and back east to Mountain Home, and I guarantee you that you will know how to ride by then, or you'll be dead

do a track day or two. you'll learn more than you can believe. sure it's kind of expensive with all the gear. race boots, race leathers.... and the admission for the track but bend over take that in the a$$ and do a track day. you'll be hooked as am I.
Ah, the eternal "I don't deserve my machine" syndrome.
I experienced this with my ITR, and a few trackdays and an accident cleared it right up.
I know I'm not riding my R6 to its fullest potential, but what I'm doing is good enough until I can afford to track it.
Just ride the **** out of it man. Just like a car, you'll get used to it. You've only had it for a few days right? If you're still having the same feelings in a month or two, then you might have to take some more remedial action. Until then, just ride and relax.
