Default Auto to manual conversion on a 1992 Accord LX

Is it true that a car that was converted from auto to manual will never ride the same as a car that came from the factory manual? Will I always have problems with my car after I do this swap? All my friends say I will always have problems and it will become a money pit if i do this swap. They say it wont ride like a manual car at all. Is this true? The total cost, parts and all, i hope will come up to like $600 or so, im not sure. I could just buy another 90-93 accord, but this was my very first car so im somewhat attached to it. It would suck to drive around and by coincidence see the person i sold the car to drive past in my car.

Will these be all the parts aside from the tranny, pedal assembly, motor mounts, 5 speed ECU?

i converted to manual and it rides fine. if you use all the right manual parts what will make it different from a car that came stock as a 5spd? use the right parts and mounts and you'll be fine.

do a search there have been tons of 5spd swap threads as of lately and theres a parts list.
