Default .:: 215/45 to fit 7" or 7.5" wheel width without a problem? ::.

As the topic states, I have two inquiries:

Will a 215/45 tire fit...

1) a 7" width wheel
2) a 7.5" width wheel

...without a problem?

Thanks in advance.

yes it will. with a 7.5 width you could probably even fit a 225 if you wanted to.

The Tire & Rim Association handbook states that a 215/45R17 can safely be mounted on a 7.0" - 8.0" wide wheel. So the answer to your question is that it will fit either wheel.
