is there really any benefit on the tuning aspect? I am going to get my b16 tuned and I have both, just wondering if i would see any more power??

Well I don't know about more power per se, but you will be able to set 4 more points using the v2. This will allow you to smooth out the AFR better over the entire band and therefore it *should* run better with a good tuning.

If you go to Apexi's website they list everything new about the VAFCII under that webpage. You get knock logging, a VTEC light, etc...

However I have heard that the controls on the VAFC II suck compared to the I. (As far as ease of use.)

Hope that helps ya...

if you already have a vafc1, just keep it. keep your $$ unless you get a standalone or something in that nature...

Well you already said you have both anyway...so I guess it's all about whether you want to bother with installing the new one and selling the old one used or just selling the new one outright. You'll only make about $50 more or so selling the new VAFC 2 vs. the used VAFC 1, so if it's worth it to you to swap them and get all the extra features and a smoother tune then it's up to you.

But as was already said, if you only have the v1, then don't bother buying a v2, save up for a better tuning alternative.

Oh, and to the list of feature additions above I forgot one key one that made the difference for me. Password feature. I learned from having a lot of stereos that stupid people seem to like to press any button they can find that isn't stock...especially if it isn't their car and you aren't looking...

But yeah, it seems like you're saying you have a used v1 and a new v2. Used v1's are going for about $160-200 around here and new v2's are going for ~225-250. So go to Apexi's website, read up on the differences, and decide if the extra functionality is worth $50 to you.

keep the vafc1, its not worth the money to change. The big difference is the vafc2 works with i-vtec also.
