Fuel Supply Problems...
So my car was gettting pretty low on gas (on the E line) so i pulled over and got some gas. After 4.5 gallons it clicked off and wouldnt let me pour anymore fuel in. When i tried it started to overflow. This is the second time this has done this to me. The gauge seems to be working correctly as it gets lower as I go, and I know by the mileage that it needs to be refilled.
Lately I've been getting a code 43, (fuel supply system) while driving around town. If I am at a constant speed it doesnt seem to be an issue but while driving around town the code comes on. If I turn the car off and turn it back on it goes away and drives fine for a while, but next time I get in stop and go driving conditions it throws the code again.
The search results seem to say that code 43 is generally a bad o2 sensor so I will replace that and see if the code goes away, but I was wondering if the fueling up issue and code 43 were in any way related. Im at a loss and I need some help as I am trying to get this car running smooth so I can give it to my mother. The Car is an 88 CRX HF with a rebuilt b18a1 all obd-0 running on a pr4 ecu.
Thank In Advance

What do you mean all obd0 , isn't the ecu an obd1 ecu ?
I can say about the fuel being low and then over flowing, that sounds like your sending unit. Happen to me once actually, it just then magically fixed itself. But if you want a permanent fix, I would say get a new sending unit.
About the code, when you turn the car off the check engine light does not come back on right ? But have you ever checked the ecu, because more then likely its storing this code inside there. During this time, if its storing the code, I think the check engine light is less likely to come on. But after a certain period, the code will totally get erased, but if the ecu sees an error in the system for the first time again, boom the check engine light will go on. I don't think fueling up has anything to do with the code, I think turning the car on and off might though.
A new 02 sensor should get rid of the code completely though.

hey man thanks for your help. the sending unit you are talking about is under the rear storage compartment right? at least thats what it looks like in the manual.
