my car through the years
hi all...i've had this civic since '97 when it had 21 miles on it. its been a great car to me so i thought i'd share some pics. i know its not a typical H-T car, but i'm willing to take the hits...before you ask, the motor is stock (not a big power guy) and it'll be that way till it blows up on me. i've fallen in and out of love with the car over the years, and after a recent accident and repaint, i've fallen back in love with the damn thing! maybe, even at 27, i'll drop some real coin into the damn thing since i can't seem to part with it...on to the pics

2001 - thanks to a 4 car collision, i got some body work done...is300 graphite gray pearl (color code 1C6)

2005 - took the kit off and slowly bringing the car back to a simpler look

thanks for letting me share!

simple is a good look. some different rims would set it off though

Dump the chicken wire and fogs and replace them with the grill insert (or w/e it's called). I like the shaved moldings. A smaller rim and rear lip would complete the look.
Looks better than it did.

thanks for the kind words...i'm thinking of going with a smaller wheel, but it'll have to wait till after my June wedding. this set of wheels were actually free...my parents were kind enough to buy me a set of 17s when they were in the Phils last summer, so i can't complain

god damn.. even when i was in my rice phase.. i could tell that body kit didn't flow AT ALL!! lol
clean is better though.. just dont do it cause everyone else is
I'm still convinced that most people are ricers, just dont want to be apart from the new trends or crowd

i see what you're saying about the whole about buying into the whole 'jdm is the hot trend' thing, but i'm definitely not doing it for that reason...you can't tell from the pics but:
- my stillen front bumper was torn off at both ends from coming down a driveway too fast; rear lip was cracked
- my old muffler was hanging off and hitting my fiberglass rear lip making this annoying sound when sitting at idle
- my old rota wildcards were bent from 2 accidents (3 of the 4)
- all body work and paint has been paid from insurance claims since people apparently like to hit my car!
now the car is much quieter, smoother on the roads and is simply nicer to drive. plus i was tired of getting revved at every time someone thought my car might be fast.
simply put, it was just more practical to have the car the way it is now.
