Its an automatic civic 1.7l Non vtec 2000 model

i dont know much about honda's and have not had time to check out the car itself, but i thought id ask you all because you'd probably experienced this before
Problems:
1) it makes a LOUD whining noise when shes reversing (AT transmission)
2) when she starts the car it makes a EEE EEE EEE EEE noise, soudns like a squeaking belt, however noise goes away after a few minutes
if i were to lube the belts should i jsut use WD-40?
any help would be much appreciated!

Ya it sounds like its the accessory belts. Get them replaced, and keep in mind that they will make noises if they are too tight or too loose.
Oh and by they way a 2000 civic is a 1.6L from the factory
