mounting tire by hand?

Default mounting tire by hand?

I thought I read somewhere that somebody mounted there tires by hand to make sure their rims didnt get scuffed up. is this possible? How is it done?

Im sure its possible but damn you need to be stronger then superman to do that. I worked at Sears auto changing tires and let me tell you that its not all the machines to mount them. You basically do it, the machines make sure youll be safe. Even then the machines arent enough to help you and you need 2 or 3 people (usually monster truck tires)

just go somewhare with a touchless and speak to the manager about your rims before they do it and let em know the scoop if they dammage em
