Default Can a rear sway bar affect 60' times?

Rear squat is bad for 60' times (traction).

A sway bar connects the rear control arms to the frame correct? Therefore making the rear suspension stiffer when you push down on the rear right?

Im wondering because I took mine off for weight savings, but might it hurt me in other way?

my belief is that a sway bar only effects the movement of one side against the other, not in the case of both compressing equally at the same time(that would be your spring rates). For drag, the a stiffer rear spring rate would control squat.
just my $.02

Yes, but it appears that the rear sway bar actually kept the suspension a little compressed. When I unbolted it from the frame, the rear suspension dropped a couple inches.

Hmm

The swaybar's only purpose is to connect the opposite sides of the suspension to each other (there aren't any solid connections to the frame, only the bushings), so that when one side compresses, the other side does too (same for decompression). So, this shouldn't affect front-back transfer at all (or at least nothing noticeable).

Edit: Maybe if you had crazy torque that lifted one side of the car up at launch on a RWD car...

Only for side to side...not front to back.

Its a suspension techniques swat bar

the bushing got annoying as hell (squeeked) and I took it off for weight savings. Maybe it was the bushings that caused the suspension to drop a couple inches? Who knows...but handling without it doesnt really seem any worse, the ride actually seems nicer, quieter and more "plush"

If I understad correctly you took the bushings off the sway bar. If so the sway bar is not doing it's job. You need the bushings as fix pivot points for the sway bar to have any effect from one side to the other. I would strongly recommend that you put them back on.

EDIT: or maybe you meant that you took the sway bar off (and not just the bushings) for weight reduction??... Oh... I just reread your first post and you meant the sway bar... never mind then.
