i just installed the v2 on my 98'lx4cyl and it sounds great but the only problem im having is that when its at a low rpm or when i give it slight gas it makes a high pitch noise. It only does this up around 2000-3000rpm or when i am accellerating hard. Any tips on how to solve this would be appreciated. Thanks

 

My car does the exact same thing, and a few others on here have the same exact problem. As a matter of fact this has been addressed before, but no one seems to know the exact reason thus far.

Some believe it has something to do with the throttle body or the like. I tightened my fasterners around the throttle body and also where the hose from the valve cover connects to the CAI and it got a lot less noisy, but it didn't stop it completely.

 

assuming the V2 uses a soft mount like the origional AEM intakes, just spray some WD40 on it, and tighten down all the clamps

 

ill try tightening those fasteners.. I looked at the inside of the intake where the tubing goes from small to large and the small diameter tubing extends a couple of inches into the large diameter piping. In other words its not flush where the tubing size increases on the inside of the intake. I imagine the way the air flows inside of it coud possibly cause this..
