I would love to get my hands on a 93 GSR. They're truly rare, but for $5k running on 165k miles...I wouldn't get it. I saw a salvage title 1992 GSR for $3k. Only the quarter panel was damaged. The motor had about 100k miles. For $5k you could get yourself a 94-95 GSR with lower milage, if you wanted a g3 GSR that is. That rare motor you're speaking of is a b17 VTEC running 160hp. The g2 GSR's ONLY came in 92 and 93. Don't let anyone fool you.

AND dont let the 160hp rating fool you.... those motors pull hard

yeah, i bought my 92 gs-r with 214k mi. on it, pretty clean outside, insanely clean interior, 4 snow tires on rims, new unpainted driver door/gasdoor, all for $2500. I consider myself lucky

But IMO, spending 5K for a 93 with 165K miles on it is too high.

That is way to much for a 12 year old car with 165k on it. Look around H-T for a G3 ('94 - '01) GSR and I am sure you will find a better deal. I got my '98 DC2 for 7k with 90k on it.
Good luck!

ya too high of a price. I got insanely lucky the otehr day and bought a 92 gsr with 147k for 2500 and the car is mint. not to mention its a canadian model so it has daytime running lights. I am in love with it already and the motor pulls real hard. good luck man
