Default Wheel hop problem

I noticed ever since I put my GSR in I get this wheel hop really bad time to time. First as I bang second if the tires spin I get extreme wheel hop. Thats ok though. But lately I noticed that when turning on high ways or on to street and giving it maybe 25% or more gas to start going the tires break loose and I get EXTREME wheel hop. Its almost uncontrolable. Like head unit flies out the dash into the back seat lol. How can I minimize this? Could havin the car too low cause this? I am gonna get motor mount inserts tomorrow. Any Ideas to help the problem? Maybe should I check any suspension parts to make sure its nothing bad? Drving straight going fast. I feel no problem. Just when I said turning or maybe if I dump the clutch anywhere over 3k. Any help is appreciated. thanks

get better motor mounts, that should eliminate ALOT of it, im guessing you arent turbo, so I dont see why you would be spinning your tires alot if its just i/h/e.

And dumping your clutch will usually do that, better to slip it.

Is it going to be a street car? If so Id probably just get motor mount inserts. If you are going all track you might wanna get new motor mounts as they SHOULD be stiffer, not allowing your car to move back n forth so much.

So in otherwords unless you are going for sick power i wouldnt sweat getting the whole motor mount, when you can get the inserts for 40 bucks shipped.

how are your tires? i'd look at those first, since your not putting that much hp to the ground.how many miles are on them?

energy suspension motor mount insert work the best in my opinion. the prothane ones are a little harder to squeeze in the last time we did a swap. both are around the same price.

My tires are 3 month old falken azenis. Its gonna be a street car. Im just lookin to get a better grip. I mean I was at the races tonight and its rediculous with wheel hop. I got type R cams in and only got an Ls tranny but 7.5 flywheel. by 5k Im spinnin the hell outtta first then into second still spinning. Idk what to do. Also feels like a lot of the front end is loose or something. What are main things I should check. The car is lowered but Tomorrow I think Im gonna finish puttin the back coilovers on and raise it like an inch from stock. When I check underneath everything looks good. All the bushing are good and nothing is loose or wobbly but when I drive at time if hitting bumps or moving side to side feels like the steering wheel wants to fall off. The only thing is when I had tires put on the shop said I might wanna look into tie rods. Idk any help?

One other thing if any one got a cable b16 tranny let me know what you want for it. I got this LS cable tranny its mint just too long of gears for me. Im willin to trade plus cash. Also got some spare parts laying around.

lol im not sure how exactly you are spinning your tires... especially with an LS tranny. I almost never get mine to spin and thats at 250 whp and 220 lb/tq with an LS tranny.

Idk but it happens and its killer on trying to catch traction. I mean Im not gonna lie. My mods are b18c1, Ls tranny, 7.5 flywheel, exedy stage 1, b&m FPR, Type R cams, intake, 4-2-1 headers, no cat 2.25 exhaust, Lowered bout 3 inches, falken azenis on hammers, short shifter.

How much shorter is gears between Ls and b16 tranny anyway? Is it actually worth it to try to find one??? or will just beefin up the motor a lil bit more make it better. I know it takes a lil longer to rev out. but I would think of Vtec as like building boost pullin harder, like it would be better for longer gears. Let me know if its worth it to track down a JDM b16 tranny

A b16 tranny will improve how fast your car accelerates ALOT. The whole in boost longer or in vtec longer theory is false.

You would probably pick up .5 in the 1/4 just from switching to a b16 tranny from your LS. The only reason Im sticking with the LS is b/c of the fact that I plan on aiming for 500 whp and its my daily driver. I dont plan on spending another 1500 on traction bars and everything else to gain traction, its a daily driver 1st, track car 2nd. You being lowered 3" may have something to do with it, especially if they are no name springs. You probably blew your shocks and your car isnt able to handle your engine rocking back n forth.

How much you think one goes for around here and there? That would help my car out a lot having short gears. Also any other ideas. Im gonna raise it up tomorrow see how it goes.
