Hi, to all i'm new here ,but have heard Great things about this site.
I have a problem, my 90 Crx with a B16a in it has to pass smog,
which calls for a conversion to obd1. I have the distributor and ecu
for obd1, thus only leaving an intake manifold to get. I need to know what
intake manifold to go with choices are skunk 2 with carb sticker, b16a2 manifold
or typ R maiflod??? Please correct me if i'm wrong, my crx will be smoged as a 94-97 delsol as this was the only b16a engine made in the united staes during this period. Which manifold will pass smog??? I would think both the b16a2 and the type R manifold would not conform to obd1 as they are both off of obd2 vehicles,where as the skunk 2 has a carb sticker which makes it universal.

obd0 or obd1 has nothing to do w/passing smog. as far as converting to obd1, you will also need a 4 wire o2 sensor. as far as manifold, i rec. the skunk2 manifold. this manifold eliminates the fast idle valve(under the throttle body)and old style idle air control valve(behind manifold). all you have to do is connect a coolant line from the manifold to the engine. you also have to extend a vacuum hose from the map sensor to the manifold. you also need a new idle air control valve from a 92 and up vtec motor. i got mine from a 92 civic ex.
