I Am Running A 1992 JDM H22A In My Ek 1996 Civic! I Have Been Trying To Get This Car Running For A Real Long Time And Still No Luck ..I Am Using a unchipped p13 ecu... Here Is What Happens

When I first start my car it runs fine with no check engine problems..Give it about 10 min of driving and the car wont rev pass 3 1/2...Most Times The Car Will Just Shut Off.. The only code the ecu is throwing is the egr code... Anyone have any idea on how to fix this?

Or If Anybody lives in the southern california area a shop that maybe can help me out!!

Ok, i dont know really all that much, but have you checked your fuel system (lines, rail, fuel filter, pump, ect ect)? Cuz that would be my first guess

 

yea we checked that...as i can see them seem to be working fine!! i just really want to get this ### car working!! i am so sick and tiered of trying to fix this ### engine!!

 

strip that one out, sell it but he honest about it, and buy another one. Thats what i would do, only if i had the money though.

 

Long shot but it might be your main relay going out. I dont think your egr will throw you in limp mode, which it kind of sounds like your in.

Are you obd2 to obd1? Who did your swap? Also try picking up a spare ecu and see if that helps.

If you need someone to trouble shoot it you could drop the car off and ill mess with it.

 

if u could fix my car i would pay you cash...i really really want to get this motor over and done with you know..i tried using a chipped p72 (gsr) p28, jdm p13 and now i am using the us p13...the motor is obd1 and i did go from obd2 to obd1 and i am using a jumper...please can u fix my car...where u live at? im in bellflower 562 area

 

One more thing to try, if you haven't already, get a new distributor and try that, it sounds like yours is overheating

 

i have a h22a in my civ.. we had idle/low rev problems - unplug the vaccum hose going from your EGR soleniod (sp) and see how it runs.. on my case we wired the EGR wrong and/or it made it throw codes and run in default.. if that isnt it, you can contract me throught my cell number and i can give you other **** to try.. i just got my H running after 6 months of work, and we had to change several things.
