im putting my exhaust on and i cant get the springs on where the cat is supposed to hook up to the downpipe... do i need them? or should i just get the exhaust screwed on without the springs? its like they need compressed

 

Yo cuz, u need those springs they help your exhaust handle bend from bumps. It helps if you have a pair of vice grips, this will keep your cat. and that b pipe closed together. Just push those bolts right in and turn.

 

just clamp the springs with the vise grips?

 

tried... kept slippin off, any other methods?

 

if the header is a 2 pc, try bolting it up to the cat first, then the bolt uo the head

 

it doesnt have a cat, its straight thru from the downpipe to muffler
