Default What is this plug? what does it do?

straight forward title, I have this plug unhooked in my car - I found out that it connects to a cylindrical piece obove the clutch pedal. Does anyone know what the plug is or what it does?

I was told because it is yellow that it is SRS related.

here are the pics:

the connector plug

where it goes

ya i believe the SRS system is labled in bright yellow.

100% sure.. btw looks like the cluster plug or it connects to the airbag if your vehicle is not equipped with one.

clutch inhibitor switch. srs has nothing to do with the clutch pedal.

thats what I thought, but the air bag system also has the yellow lume around the wires, this doesnt.

I has been pointed out that it looks like the clutch inhibiter as seen here:
http://www.hondaautomotivepart...PEDAL
--- A 2nd saftey switch that prevents the car from starting without the clutch engaged. Usuallly installed with remote starts.

That's what I was thinking. WTF is there a sensor doing mounted onto a clutch pedal? I guessed cruise so when you depress the pedal, it goes off. But, I never had cruise, so I don't know.

I do have it, that yellow plug is crimped so the two wires are together - constant acuation.

if cruise doesnt work then maybe. but honda uses 2 switchs on manual pedal sets. 1 switch is for clutch safety, the other is for cruise safety. dan happens to have a remote start installed.

that would wrong. srs has yellow plug&loom and usualy also labeled as srs. we already determined what it is. just because a plug is a certain color doesnt mean much. factorys reuse surplus parts all the time.

im going with this response, I uncrimped the wires and the car didnt (with the clutch un-engaged) start - re-crimped them and it started (with the cluch un-engaged).

I did have an SRS light on, but that was for a different reason, and it is gone now - I just literally reset it.

thanks guys for your help.
