The other day my engine/tranny was making weird sounds that sounded like birds singing. I couldn't get it into any of the gears at all. All of a sudden it stopped and it worked fine. Later on when I was in a parking lot while trying to take it out of 2nd, my brakes locked up and my engine stalled. I could start my car as long as I held my clutch down, but when I let off it would stall again. I could put the shifter into gears, but it would just stall. The brakes stayed locked up. I had it towed to AAA and their mechanic said that I need a new transmission. He said he couldn't try the brakes because the transmission wouldn't turn or something. The quote was $3500 for a new tranny. I've since found a M2B4 for $1440 shipped and $450 for the install. Can anyone tell me if the problem sounds to be the transmission or any other advice? Also, I have an ACT Street Clutch and Prolite Flywheel and a Turbonetics Turbo Kit.

 

If it is your tranny, I have a SH tranny (M2U4) with 50K for sale in Texas!!! You will have to modify you car to accept a Non-SH tranny; it isnt a direct bolt in.
