Are they the same? I get different answers for this. They Si looks to be a bit sleeker as the Type R droops down on the sides a little bit more. Or, is this because of shitty "Type R" knock offs? Someone, please shed some light!

So I assume that the "Type R" knock off lips here are supposed to look just like the USDM Si front lips then, which they really don't. Since it's kinda hard to come across a real Si lip, any have recommendations?

Yeah those knock offs flare out a lot and look realy crappy. I had one for a few months and only put it on twice before selling it for 25 bucks.

I got my 00 Si lip for free
gotta love it when friends have crap in thier garage that they give you for free. You can get the lip from honda but I think after hardware and the lip it is over $150 or more but I am not really sure on that.
