no way man........400, get a inline pro headgasket and u can get 400 hp at the wheels, with some cruicial tuning of course

I bent a rod at 151 at the wheels... when this happened
Damn timing belt POS. Broke during a 8k rpm burnout before a streetrace... THAT sucked. 4 hours later whne the towtruck got there...

how much hp are these stockers good for?
its funny how everyone knows everything............anyway, i ran 280 - 290 hsp on 93 octane, stock block(b18c1), inline pro headgasket, 440's, and afc. i ran 361+ hsp on 116 race gas. i ran the sh*t out of this motor for a year. it went 11.38 in a h/b. i know alot of people with silmiliar set ups.....yeah, alot. the ones who have tuned it correctly run similiar hsp on stock blocks.
who knows what stock rods and pistons will take, but if you tune it correctly with the proper gas, i will guarentee you 360+ to the wheels.
(As I hold my hand up and testify) Ive seen it done!
The rods are actually pretty strong.. its usually the cast piston that will go first.

but has anyone here actually bent/or otherwise ruined a stock p72 rod NOT due to detonation or some other error but from horsepower on a properly tuned motor?
I have made over 400hp on stock rods without failure.. The weak link is the pistons. They are very brittle and dont take kindly to high cylinder pressures. I ran a stock B18C at 14 psi daily on 93 octane and made 370whp for over a year and a half. I pulled the motor out running to drop in my built motor. Then reinstalled the motor into a friend's hatch where it resides now spraying a 100shot.
