Default Roebling Pics

Sorry this is a little delayed. Took a few pics from the Chin Motorsports driving school on the 26th, 27th. Sorry there are not many on-track pics. So shoot me BTW my best recorded time was mid-day: 1:33 on Kumho 712's. I am fairly confident I had my times down to low 30's as I was really pushing my braking points back towards the end of the day. But, its not confirmed so ill stick with the 1:33. Im pretty happy considering its only my 3rd track event. Oh well, onto the pics.. http://www.altamontepro.com/jacob/Ca...,27/~gallery~/

BTW: my car is the 3rd pic, the silly *** blue si...

Nice pics.

This looks like an Integra. Any more pics/info about this car?

actually that photo, the 6 before it, and the 2 after it are all of the 2 race prepped Hyundai Tiburon. One of the shots shows the new V6 engine that they are running... They got them out on the track just a few times (they were in the process of cleaning /packing up) and I was less than amazed with them. I was basically able to keep up with them pretty consistently. Maybe they just weren't pushing the cars? Anyway, cool looking car that resembles the Mustang, imo (but better looking).

Jacob, thanks for the pics and you and the orlando guys can always crash at my place

I think that is the GrandAm street stock ST1 Hyundai Tiburon. They actually had a build series on the car at...

yeah, it was kind of a joke... I think. The guy uses it as a track beater and I think might run some NASA events in it. The inside is completely stripped with a full cage/harness/etc. He also had a set of R tires that he wasn't using. I talked with him a bit and he seemed like a nice guy... (in his late-40's maybe?)

yep, that's the car... didn't seem that fast though. They must have been taking it easy b/c the article you linked says it's putting down 230hp. More than enough to whip my azz

Those cars were incredible beautiful, ive never seen a race cars engine bay so clean? Christian- do you know if that car that parked in front had ever been on the track? It was just too clean.

Sorry! it was late and I was bored on me

They told me that they had been running the cars on thurs or fri prior to Chin but they were all so clean! I doubt that my car looked that good when it rolled off the assembly floor Did you get a chance to run with them on track? Unfortunately, they were only out a few times...

The ITA car does 120 mph on the dot. Best time I've got was a 1:23.5 in cool qualifying session. I've heard the top ITS cars with good motors can get to 130 mph.

My best time of the day was somewhere right round 1:26 or so... I was running on 205/50 Azenis, Koni Yellows, and Carbotech Panter+ pads. Braking around marker #2 for turn1. Nice track that grew on me as the weekend progressed wouldn't mind getting back out there sometime soon. My friend managed to but down a time in the low 1:25's in his Mustang with suspension work and 245/45 Victoracers that thing had some hella good grip

Yea ... 120-130 is about all you will get from our cars. They don't pull much in 5th and the straight at Roebling is not too long. I rode in a Z06 that was getting close to 150.

My best time around is 1:28.

Yes I was going into 5th a little before the start/finish. 5th dosent do a damn bit for my car MAYBE 5 mph. Id say 120ish, not exactly sure you dont really look down at the end of the straight cause your getting ready for the braking zone. Id really like to get some better tires, with that and some more track time I think i could easily get into the high 20's.

Sweet time man!

Oh BTW Xian, Blake Fuller with the yellow "R" was turning about that, consistant 23's, 24's. That guy was sick. He was running RA1's I think.

I never did get a chance to ride with him... wonder if he'll be out at Sebring later this year?
