Default Civic Dash Lights!!!!

My dash lights on my instrument panel went out. So now i dont have a light for my speedometer, gas gauge, temp gauge, but all the other warning lights work. I tried checking to see if the dimmer switch was broken i dont think it is. Everytime i put in a new fuse into the #30 slot for the lights it blows no matter what. I took the dimmer switch out and it still blew. I took apart the dash and took out instrument cluster followed the wires to see if there is a short anywhere but i couldnt find one. got any ideas? please help

i'm having a similar problem, my dash lights occasionally black out and the emergency break light goes on. headlights and tail lights continue working fine. checked wiring, but couldn't find anything faulty. let me know if you have any luck...

You may need to check the drivers side multiplex. it is located on the drivers side fuse panel,it is the blue box. I had the problem and turned out that it was the multiplex. It happens allot if you replace the factory stereo.

If your dash lights are flickering on and off periodically it's your dimmer switch.

Just check fuse 15 and the backup fuse in the engine bay, but if the lights are flickering it's the dimmer switch.
